QHR to acquire Healthscreen';;s software business

KELOWNA, BC, Sept. 26, 2011 /CNW/ - QHR Technologies Inc. ("QHR" or the "Company") (TSXV: QHR) is providing an update to prior announcements made July 25, 2011, August 19, 2011 and September 2, 2011 pursuant to the acquisition of debentures and subsequent bid for the assets of Healthscreen Solutions Inc. ("Healthscreen").

Today, Deloitte & Touche Inc., in its capacity as Court Appointed Receiver and Manager of Healthscreen, announced that the bid submitted by 2293035 Ontario Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of QHR for all the assets associated with the software and electronic medical records operation of Healthscreen, was accepted by the Receiver subject only to Court Approval.

Based on the recommendation of the Receiver, court approval is expected within the first two weeks of October, at which time QHR will take over the software business including making offers of employment to a number of employees which are currently employed by Healthscreen.

Currently, Healthscreen has approximately 5,200 physicians utilizing its software products.

Details of the Asset Purchase Agreement will be released once the Court has approved the recommendation of the Receiver.

Upon closing of the transaction, QHR through its subsidiaries, will be supporting over 9,000 physicians across Canada making it the largest vendor in the Canadian EMR industry.
