PHILADELPHIA, Aug. 29, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- As power outages and recovery efforts continue along the coast in the aftermath of devastating storms over the weekend, Verizon Wireless retail stores in the Philadelphia Tri-State Region are ready to help area residents contact family, friends and loved ones. Residents without working cell phones can make free domestic calls from the company's pool of working handsets in its retail stores. Additionally, the stores are ready to assist customers who need to charge their cell phones and smartphones.
Customers can also conduct standard activities in the stores including establishing new lines of service, purchasing phones and accessories and paying bills.
