Collaboration intended to Enable Delivery of Remote Patient Management through Mitel IP Phones
TORONTO, Nov. 10 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ - Biosign Technologies (TSXV: BIO), a novel health monitoring technology company, has announced the intention to deliver its non-invasive healthcare monitoring solution in collaboration with Mitel (NASD: MITL), a leading provider of unified communications software solutions. The companies have signed a memorandum of understanding to collaborate on a solution intended to enable certain Mitel products to be used as a voice and data communication portal between a patient, a resident, or an employee using the Biosign UFIT® PAD to send their vital data to Biosign's data mining and rendering servers, and then have results sent to the appropriate parties
"Utilizing a single non-invasive device for data collection, a single platform, and a universal virtual network is an extremely powerful combination that customers can seamlessly adopt and deliver across their organization - locally, regionally, nationally or globally," says Radu Leca, President & CEO, Biosign Technologies. "We look forward to working with Mitel to develop a solution aligned with the needs of customers."
The combined solution is intended to help prevent adverse responses to medication, track chronic illnesses such as Diabetes and Hypertension, provide medication reminders and management, and offer remote patient management.
Key markets that could be addressed with a combined solution include assisted living and long term care facilities, workplace wellness programs and people living at home that require chronic disease management tools to assist them in their daily living activities.
