WASHINGTON, Oct. 14 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The National Association of Small Business Contractors ([ www.nasbc.org ]) and the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce announce the third annual National Small Business Contracting Summit – West Coast to be held on November 2– 3, 2010 in San Diego, California at the Handlery Hotel & Resort.  This west coast small business supplier summit provides two full days of opportunity for small businesses including connections to federal agencies and prime contractors, information about upcoming business opportunities, in depth education, a report on the state of small business federal contracting, and focused industry-sector one-on-one meetings with federal agencies, prime contractors and regional resource providers.

Sessions include opportunity updates with the Navy, NavFac, NASA, Dept. of Homeland Security, Marine Corps, Defense Logistics Agency, EPA, Lockheed Martin, California DOT, Veterans Affairs, and more – and learning about regional small business supplier-related resource connections and teaming.  A special pre-conference session will include government contracting basics and how to effectively market a GSA schedule to assist businesses just getting started in government contracting.

"Small business suppliers are a vital part of America's government contracting force.  Through the annual National Small Business Contracting Summit – West Coast, we provide small businesses the opportunity to focus their time towards business growth by learning about upcoming government business opportunities, making key connections with a broad array of government agencies and prime contractors, learning about trends in government contracting, and how to best position for success," says Terry Williams, CEO of the NASBC.  "This summit is packed full of connections, information and opportunity."

"Each year, we hear from businesses who have taken part in the prior year's summit that the connections and information they received led their business towards new opportunities and real growth in the government sector," adds Margot Dorfman, CEO of the U.S. Women's Chamber of Commerce.  "The one-on-one meetings, between small businesses and federal connections, provide a very focused and valuable business setting for the attendees."
