HERNDON, VA--(Marketwire - August 18, 2009) - ePlus inc. (
"We're proud to earn the Data Loss Prevention Specialization from Symantec, which acknowledges our success in helping customers measurably reduce risk, demonstrate compliance, and protect their data, brand, and intellectual property through leading Symantec solutions," said Mark Melvin, chief technology officer for ePlus. "We also offer our customers DLP risk assessments, which result in immediate visibility to identify data-loss risks and the specific information for quick remediation."
To qualify for the Symantec DLP Specialization, ePlus had to meet a number of requirements. These included enrollment in the Symantec Partner Program, investment in the required hardware and software that meets defined specifications to perform product demonstrations, and completion of Symantec training and accreditation requirements for DLP products, including completion of a rigorous training course and a career level certification test for ePlus engineers and sales executives.
Symantec Partner Specializations are designed to recognize partners' solutions expertise. By meeting the qualification requirements and joining a Symantec specialization, partners can demonstrate their proven ability to plan, design, implement, and manage Symantec solutions to both customers and other partners.
ePlus has a close working relationship with Symantec, including status as a Symantec Platinum Partner, to provide data protection, management, availability, and disaster recovery software solutions to government agencies and businesses. ePlus holds multiple Symantec certifications, including Symantec Certified Security Engineers (SCSE) for IDS and Vulnerability Management as well as Symantec Certified Technical Architects (SCTA) in IP Telephony and Firewalls.
