SAN MATEO, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--SuccessFactors, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFSF), the global leader in [ on-demand performance and talent management solutions ], announced today that Palmetto Health, South Carolina's largest and most comprehensive not-for-profit health resource, has [ expanded its use ] of the SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management suite by deploying [ SuccessFactors Stack Ranker ]. This new solution enables leaders to quickly and effortlessly rate and assess their talent across defined competencies, creating a visual and intuitive stack ranking of employees to accelerate a course of action.

Palmetto Health is integrating SuccessFactors Stack Ranker with a set of behavioral competencies developed by its own high performing employees and linked to tools being implemented from the Studer Group, an outcome-based health care consulting firm, to classify Palmetto's employees into high, middle and low performers. This effort leads to routine performance-related mandated and documented conversations, different from its annual performance reviews. High performers are recognized, mid-level performers are shown a path to high-performance status, and low performers are given an action plan or moved out of the organization. An event-driven, real-time tool, Stack Ranker helps Palmetto Health's leaders answer simple questions across a set of competencies to gain valuable insight into the strength of a business, division or team's talent.

"SuccessFactors Stack Ranker helps create a culture for high performance, so we're thrilled to roll it out across our organization to drive dialogue between leaders and employees outside of our formal performance review process. We are able to effectively identify and track our highest, middle-level and lower performers for new levels of productivity and engagement. Stack Ranker intuitively enables us to re-recruit the high performers, re-recruit and redirect mid-level performers, and improve or move out the low performers," said Trip Gregory, senior vice president of Human Resources for Palmetto Health. "SuccessFactors is a valued partner in every sense of the word, and as a result, our relationship continues to grow."

"It's a pleasure to work with customers, like Palmetto Health, who are truly ahead of the curve in cultivating top talent and aggressively managing its business for success," said Lars Dalgaard, founder and president of SuccessFactors. "We introduced Stack Ranker to give organizations immediate access to team performance, to visually rank, act and analyze talent, so rewarding and recognizing top performers or ramping up or down would be a straight-forward process. We're pleased with the markets' early reception."

The SuccessFactors Performance and Talent Management Suite, which includes Performance Management, Goal Management, 360 Degree Reviews, Succession Management, Compensation Management, Learning and Development, Recruiting Management, Employee Profile, and Analytics and Reporting applications, creates a company-wide network of information related to employee performance, including skill-sets, interests, career aspirations, ability to relocate, experience, languages spoken and more. By providing deep, real-time, company-wide visibility into such critical performance data, companies are able to make better, more informed decisions about how to promote, recruit, compensate, reward and manage their entire employee base.
