Analogic Corporation Appoints Jim Ryan Vice President of Global Operations

PEABODY, Mass.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Jim Green, President and Chief Executive Officer of Analogic Corporation (NASDAQ: ALOG), announced today that Jim Ryan will join the Company as Vice President, Global Operations, on December 15, 2008. Ryan will be responsible for manufacturing operations and the supply chain worldwide.

Mr. Ryan joins Analogic from Booz & Company, a former subsidiary of Booz Allen Hamilton, where he served in several capacities over nine years. As a principal there, Ryan played a lead role in the firm's Operations Strategy Group. He has extensive experience in operations management, including manufacturing strategy, supply chain and overhead optimization, functional effectiveness, and acquisition integration. Ryan also brings a track record of driving growth and profitability across a broad range of clients and industries.

Mr. Ryan's education includes a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Lehigh University, a Master of Science in Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from MIT.
