Three Michigan Starbase programs, supported by the U.S. Department of Defense, closed abruptly Friday due to funding issues.

The Michigan Youth STEM Program, which provided hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math education to students across the state, has abruptly shut down due to the expiration of federal funding.
