  • Three Michigan Starbase programs, supported by the U.S. Department of Defense, closed abruptly Friday due to funding issues.

The Michigan Youth STEM Program, which provided hands-on science, technology, engineering, and math education to students across the state, has abruptly shut down due to the expiration of federal funding. Efforts are underway to seek alternative funding sources or partnerships to potentially revive the program.
