Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel unveiled the state's Global Capability Centres (GCC) Policy 2025-30 on January 18, 2024, aiming to establish 250 new GCCs and generate 50,000 jobs. The policy seeks to position Gujarat as a leading destination for GCCs by offering incentives like a 75% subsidy on lease rentals for the first three years, up to Rs 75 lakh, and a 50% subsidy for the next two years, up to Rs 50 lakh. It also includes a 100% exemption on electricity duty for five years, a 5% interest subsidy on term loans for three years, and a 100% stamp duty exemption. The policy targets sectors such as IT, ITES, BFSI, and others, with the goal of enhancing Gujarat's global competitiveness and fostering innovation and economic growth.
