Adam Mutawakilu has been appointed as the Acting Managing Director of Ghana Water Limited (GWL), effective from February 22, 2024. This appointment follows the retirement of Dr. Clifford Braimah, the former Managing Director. Mutawakilu, who previously served as the Chief Manager in charge of the Northern Region, brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having worked in various capacities within GWL for over two decades. His appointment is seen as a strategic move to enhance the operational efficiency and service delivery of GWL, especially in light of ongoing challenges like water scarcity and infrastructure maintenance. The Ministry of Sanitation and Water Resources has expressed confidence in Mutawakilu's ability to lead GWL towards achieving its goals of providing sustainable water services across Ghana.
