NASA Tracking Bus-Size Asteroid Approaching Earth at 30,000 Mph

BS4 may be anywhere between 17 and 40 feet across, and will approach at about twice the distance between the Earth and moon.
NASA is currently monitoring a bus-sized asteroid, named 2024 JR16, which is hurtling towards Earth at a speed of approximately 30,000 miles per hour. This asteroid, with a diameter of about 120 feet, is expected to make its closest approach to our planet on June 10, 2024, at a distance of roughly 4.3 million miles. Although this distance is relatively close in astronomical terms, there is no immediate threat of impact. NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory has been tracking the asteroid's trajectory, ensuring that any potential risks are assessed and communicated. This event underscores the importance of continuous monitoring of near-Earth objects to safeguard our planet from potential cosmic threats.
