The 12th Annual Financial Literacy Competition for Pennsylvania students has been launched, targeting high school students from grades 9-12. Organized by the Pennsylvania Council on Financial Literacy, the competition aims to enhance students' understanding of financial management through a series of events. The competition includes an online quiz, regional competitions, and culminates in a state championship. Participants will tackle topics like budgeting, saving, investing, and credit management. The initiative not only offers cash prizes but also seeks to equip young individuals with essential life skills for financial independence. The event underscores the importance of financial education, especially highlighted by the fact that only 23 states, including Pennsylvania, mandate personal finance education.
