Austin Eckroat won the World Wide Technology Championship at El Cardonal in Mexico, securing his first PGA TOUR title. He finished with a score of 267, 26 under par, after a final round of 65. Eckroat's victory was highlighted by his exceptional putting, gaining over 10 strokes on the greens throughout the tournament. His win was sealed with a birdie on the 18th hole, finishing one stroke ahead of Erik van Rooyen and Matt Kuchar, who both tied for second. This victory earned Eckroat 500 FedExCup points, a two-year exemption on the PGA TOUR, and entry into the Masters, The Sentry, and the PLAYERS Championship. The tournament was also notable for being the first PGA TOUR event hosted by Tiger Woods' golf course design company, TGR Design.
