Sandburg choir will perform free concert in Galesburg
- Enjoy the sounds of the Sandburg choir during its fall concert at 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6, in the Science & Technology Center atrium on the Carl Sandburg College Galesburg campus. (sandburg.edu)
The Carl Sandburg College Blackhawk Chorus and Chamber Singers are set to perform a free concert titled "A Celebration of Spring" on April 23, 2023, at 2 p.m. in the college's auditorium in Galesburg, Illinois. The concert will feature a variety of musical selections including "The Old Mill" by Kenneth Riggs, "The Nightingale" by Dan Forrest, and "The Road Not Taken" by Randall Thompson, among others. This event not only showcases the talents of the choir but also serves as an opportunity for the community to enjoy live choral music at no cost. The concert is open to the public, and attendees are encouraged to arrive early as seating is on a first-come, first-served basis.
