Lyrix Introduces Mobiso Unified Speech Assistant Integrated With BroadSoft's BroadWorks

BOSTON, MA and PHOENIX, AZ--(Marketwire - Oct 17, 2011) - [ BroadSoft Connections 2011 ] -- [ Lyrix Inc.® ], a leading provider of enterprise focused Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions to small and medium businesses (SMB) and Fortune 50 companies worldwide, today announced the availability of [ Mobiso™ ], a new Cloud-based Unified [ Speech Assistant ] that can integrate with BroadSoft's [ BroadWorks® ] voice application server.

At BroadSoft Connections 2011, Lyrix will demonstrate the integration of the broadened Mobiso Speech Assistant with the BroadWorks platform. [ BroadSoft® ] (NASDAQ: [ BSFT ]) is the leading global provider of software that enables mobile, fixed-line and cable service providers to deliver real-time communications over their IP networks. The firm's BroadWorks platform delivers a broad range of unified communications services including video, voice, hosted call center, conferencing, messaging and mobility, for businesses and consumers worldwide.

With this release of Mobiso, users can reach employees quickly and effortlessly from their corporate directory and personal contacts without the frustration of traditional 'dial by name' lookup. This numberless, hands-free experience has the ability for users to say a string of names to launch an ad-hoc conference using [ BroadWorks Meet-Me Conferencing ]. In addition, Mobiso enables voice control of [ BroadWorks Anywhere ], a comprehensive suite of fixed-mobile convergence (FMC) features that can be set verbally by a user (e.g. "Send my calls to this phone."). In order to synchronize directories, authentication, and 'spoken name' responses, Lyrix has developed automated provisioning to BroadWorks.

"By making Mobiso available as purely a hosted offering, we are taking the guesswork out of selling and deploying a world-class, enterprise-proven Unified Speech Assistant," said Stewart Hampton, marketing director at Lyrix. "In combination with our professional services package, we enable service provider customers we share with BroadSoft to build business and increase revenues. We believe our solution is simple to implement, easy-to-use, flexible and priced right."

Lyrix has established a leadership position in delivering speech applications and services to large enterprises. Some of the world's most prestigious firms have deployed Mobiso speech due to the unique and patented middleware, services to ensure long term accuracy, and integration to the enterprise. Mobiso speech has also been white-labeled by high end IP-PBX vendors and hosted VoIP service providers.

"Our global service provider customers are always looking for innovative ways to improve their subscribers' communications experience and productivity while reducing operational complexity and expenses," said David Bukovsky, vice president products, BroadSoft. "Lyrix will enable BroadSoft customers to add speech recognition capability to our powerful BroadWorks capabilities, making it even easier for callers using mobile phones or Bluetooth devices to interact and collaborate."

A speech attendant from the cloud relieves the service provider and its customers from the legacy issues associated with deploying speech successfully, including the cost of specialized hardware and software, required speech expertise, and the need to ensure accuracy to the end-user. Organizations that use Mobiso can experience the benefits of a high-quality, low cost unified speech assistant and escape the need to spell the first or last name of an individual they are attempting to reach.

Lyrix is offering a free trial of the Mobiso Unified Speech Assistant to service providers on the BroadWorks platform who attend the BroadSoft Connections 2011: Crush It! conference held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix, Arizona, October 16-19. Lyrix will also provide the Unified Speech Assistant to one of the service provider's customers during this trial period.
