CALGARY, July 21, 2011 /CNW/ - Pure Technologies Ltd., ("Pure") (TSX: PUR) announced today that it has been awarded new work valued at a total of approximately $800,000 to clean, inspect, assess, rehabilitate and carry out associated work in the existing wastewater network for the Sewage Authority of the Government of Ras al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates.

This new work builds on a pilot project previously awarded to Pure and completed last month. The success of the pilot project and Pure's combined-services approach to pipeline management resulted in the award of the larger contracts which include cleaning, CCTV survey and condition assessment of three sewer network areas with a combined length of 138km.

The Ras Al Khaimah Sewer Authority has over 138km of sewer pipelines servicing a population of about 250,000. As part of the Government's continuous improvements, the construction of the remaining 65% of the sewer network will be completed in the coming years. This new work demonstrates the growth potential in the UAE region and Pure's ability to capitalize on global infrastructure spending, particularly in the water and wastewater sectors.  In addition to the contracts with the Ras al Khaimah Sewage Authority, in May 2011 Pure announced its first commercial contract for SmartBall® leak detection in Qatar.
