NEW YORK CITY, July 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- At the Gracie Mansion kick-off reception today for HARLEM WEEK 2011, AT&T* announced the availability of free Wi-Fi service for HARLEM WEEK from Sunday, July 31, through Wednesday, August 31, 2011.

HARLEM WEEK attendees with smartphones, tablets and other Wi-Fi enabled devices will get access to AT&T Wi-Fi free of charge within a coverage area along West 135th Street from St. Nicholas Avenue to Harlem Hospital Center, between Malcolm X Boulevard and 5th Avenue, for the entire month.

"We are delighted to provide free and easy access to AT&T's Wi-Fi network for attendees throughout the month."

AT&T reaffirmed its commitment to providing the best network and best broadband experience in New York City when on June 9, Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg and AT&T Chairman and CEO Randall Stephenson announced a five-year initiative to provide free Wi-Fi service at 26 locations in 20 [ New York City parks across the five boroughs. ]

In addition to its city parks and HARLEM WEEK coverage, AT&T has Wi-Fi hotzones in [ New York City's Times Square ], near [ Rockefeller Center, near St. Patrick's Cathedral ], along Park Ave. and near Ed Sullivan Theater to supplement mobile broadband coverage in areas with consistently high traffic.
