Mr. Kohler, an independent director, has 25 years of experience in leading and advising profitable growth-oriented organizations in the private equity, technology, healthcare and financial services industries in North America. Mr. Kohler is the President and Chief Executive Officer of Exelerate Inc., a Toronto-based governance/risk/compliance (GRC) management consulting, corporate finance and M&A advisory firm founded in 2001, and the former board appointed interim Chief Financial Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Corporate Secretary of one of Canada's Schedule I Banks where he was the primary liaison with the country's prudential regulator OSFI and advisor on other regulatory matters such as the Bank's International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) transition.
Mr. Kohler also has been Adjunct Professor at York University since 2007 where he has lectured at the business school and delivered the business case analysis, M&A, and advanced accounting theory topic courses.
Mr. Kohler is a Chartered Accountant and member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, and has been a director of public and private companies in the past.
