Foti, Jr., announce the commencement of an investigation into FairPoint Communications, Inc. Shares of FairPoint plunged almost 40%, or over $6.00 per share, on May 17, 2011, the day the Company revealed that losses from operations during the first quarter of 2011 grew to $48.8 million, from $31.6 million a year ago, and that revenue fell to $254.8 million, from $270.8 million. This share price collapse followed a previous, approximate 20% share price decline the day after the Company reported, on March 22, 2011, the Non-Reliance on Previously Issued Financial Statements, and a restatement of previously reported financial results for the quarterly periods ended March 31, 2010, June 30, 2010 and September 30, 2010.
