DRAPER, Utah--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Flexpoint Sensor Systems, Inc. (OTCBB:FLXT) ([ http://www.flexpoint.com ]) announced receipt of a purchase order for the third generation of sensors to be used in a flow meter for an international Company. The order is expected to ship before the end of the quarter and is the result of successful testing of earlier sensors which were designed and manufactured by Flexpoint.
The sensors, featuring Flexpointa™s patented Bend Sensor® technology, will detect and measure product flow in a device utilized in a mixing operation of a Company that has manufacturing plants and sales and service organizations around the world and is recognized as a leader in its field.
The bend sensor is ideally suited for this type of application because of its ability to handle exposure to a wide variety of liquids and harsh environments. The single layer construction, overall durability, and its chemical resistant properties make the Bend Sensor® a good solution for this type of application.
Clark Mower, President of Flexpoint Sensor Systems, stated, aWe are pleased to be able to announce this new production order. I believe that once the sensors have been produced and tested, this will lead to additional ongoing purchases of a significant number of sensors during the upcoming year and continuing thereafter and will ultimately lead to sales of 30,000-60,000 sensors a year. This is just one of many applications of our sensor in a flow sensing or monitoring application. It is exciting to see the development of the Bend Sensor® into so many diverse applications. We are currently working toward final approval of the initial production purchase order.a
