


AUSTIN, Texas--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Convio, Inc. (NASDAQ:CNVO), announced today the election of Bill Bock to the position of Chairman of the Board of Directors. Mr. Bock succeeds Gene Austin, CEO and President of Convio, thereby separating the chairman and chief executives roles.

Mr. Bock has extensive experience in both corporate finance as well as managing the growth of a variety of technology companies. Mr. Bock joined Silicon Laboratoriesa™ senior management team in November of 2006 after almost seven years as a member of the Silicon Laboratories Board of Directors. Prior to joining Silicon Laboratories, Mr. Bock was a partner at venture capital firms CenterPoint Ventures and Verity Ventures. From 1997 to 1999, Mr. Bock served as President and Chief Executive Officer of DAZEL Corporation, a provider of electronic information delivery systems. After DAZELa™s acquisition by Hewlett-Packard, Mr. Bock then served as Vice President for HP until 2001. Mr. Bock has also served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Tivoli Systems, which he helped take public in 1995 and was later acquired by IBM. Prior to joining Tivoli, Mr. Bock successfully completed an IPO at Convex Computer Corporation as CFO in 1986 and then became the Senior Vice President of Sales in 1991. Prior to Convex, Mr. Bock spent nine years in various finance roles at Texas Instruments including the Vice President and Controller of the Data Systems Group. Mr. Bock holds aB.S. degree in computer science from Iowa State University and aM.S. degree in industrial administration from Carnegie Mellon University.
