TeleCommunication Systems' Location-Based Messaging Solution Assists Carriers in Meeting FCC's 2012 Emergency Alerts Mandate

This service's location-based emergency alert messaging capability, not only helps carriers to comply with the Federal Communication Commission's (FCC) Warning, Alert and Response Network Act (WARN Act), but also enables commercial message broadcasts of geographically relevant information such as enterprise notifications, traffic, news, coupons, etc . The FCC issued the 2012 mandate to create a life-saving service that will allow the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to deliver timely and accurate emergency alerts and warnings to the cell phones of citizens in targeted geographical areas.

TCS' hosted CMAS service offers U.S. wireless carriers the ability to meet the 2012 CMAS mandate. The service accomplishes this goal by giving carriers FEMA-compliant location-based messaging capabilities that minimize the demand on carriers' infrastructure and financial resources.
