FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - March 8, 2011) - NET Federal, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Network Equipment Technologies, Inc. ("NET") (
NET Federal will demonstrate its VX Series with integrated border control features. The VX Series, a JITC-certified Deployed Network Element (D-NE) interoperates with legacy PBXs and next generation IP-based voice platforms. Optimized for government use, the VX Series provides advanced MLPP, SCIP relay, and security features that are in line with the new AS-SIP UCR definition. The VX Series also provides advanced frame packing and elastic buffering for unmatched bandwidth savings.
Additionally, the VX Series offers a robust implementation of V.150 Universal Modem Relay that communicates between the newly deployed secure IP phones, such as the Sectéra® vIPer™ Universal Secure Phone from General Dynamics C4 Systems, and other secure analog communications devices. The two companies will demonstrate this capability as a Sectéra vIPer in the General Dynamics booth (booth 415) communicates with a SCIP Sectéra Wireline Terminal (SWT) in the NET booth using V.150 Universal Modem Relay.
The VX Series has been proven by use in DoD, NATO, and first responder deployments. The VX Series product line has been selected by the Federal Government to enable next-generation voice features and to continue to capitalize on existing voice assets while assuring the strict security and reliability standards required in DoD voice systems.
General Dynamics has more than 295,000 encryption devices fielded worldwide and has delivered information security technology, products and systems to the U.S. government and military for more than 40 years. More information about the Sectéra vIPer Phone and other information assurance products from General Dynamics C4 Systems is available at Information Assurance - General Dynamics.
