IRVINE, CA--(Marketwire - May 19, 2010) - Lantronix, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ LTRX ]), global provider of secure, network-enabling technologies, today announced that it has supplied General Dynamics C4 Systems with SecureLinx™ Console Managers (SLCs) for the U.S. Marine Corps' next-generation Tactical Data Network (TDN)-Data Distribution System-Modular (DDS-M), a scalable IP communications and networking system.

Based on off-the-shelf equipment, the TDN DDS-M comprises of routers, switches, computers, power supplies and other equipment needed to access the Defense Information Systems Network (DISN), Secret Internet Protocol Router (SIPRNet) and Non-secure Internet Protocol Router Network (NIPRNet), as well as coalition and joint forces networks.

"The TDN-DDS-M connects Marines to tactical networks wherever they deploy. Using advanced communication and networking technologies, the system significantly reduces size, weight and power consumption over earlier versions," said Scott Butler, vice president of computing technologies for General Dynamics C4 Systems.

"We are proud to help General Dynamics supply the U.S. Marine Corps with the advanced, next-generation Tactical Data Network," said Jerry Chase CEO of Lantronix. "The SecureLinx SLC will help the Marines monitor, manage and troubleshoot nearly anything in their data center racks, from anywhere, at any time."

The SecureLinx SLC secure console servers provide secure, remote access to servers and IT infrastructure equipment, whether the equipment is located down the hall or across the globe, and even if servers or networks are down. This capability enables faster response rates, which increases efficiency and decreases downtime. For more information on SecureLinx SLCs please visit:
