Encounter.com, Inc. Changes Name of Corporation and Prepares to File for Ticker Symbol Change With FINRA

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - December 22, 2009) - Encounter.com, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: [ ENCR ]) announced today it has amended its Articles of Incorporation to change the Company's name to "Encounter Technologies, Inc." The Company has received confirmation from the Colorado Secretary of State that the name change has been processed.

This action is part of the Company's previously announced plans to change its business sector and associated operations to web solutions focused on social media, video technology, and online entertainment as well as the acquisition of other media and technology based companies.

The Company has changed its name to Encounter Technologies, Inc. and will apply to FINRA for a new ticker symbol.

Shareholders will be further updated on the following:

1. Financial statements posted with the OTC Disclosure Service to ensure timely and regular public disclosure of information

2. Current acquisitions timely and properly filed with OTC Disclosure service

3. New company image, branding, and a published business plans

4. Published revenue projections
