Analysts International Corporation and Microsoft Corporation to Expand Southern Nevada's Information Sharing Capabilities
MINNEAPOLIS, MN and LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - October 26, 2009) - Analysts International Corporation (AIC) (
"Our number one priority is to help the LVMPD proactively prepare for and counter potential threats and criminal activities," said Elmer Baldwin, AIC President and CEO. "Providing a consolidated view of Southern Nevada dispatch data will be a significant step forward for regional public safety. And, with the deployment of the Microsoft Fusion Core Solution, AIC's law enforcement experts can quickly identify and implement new capabilities for the Department, ensuring the right people have access to the right information at the right place and time."
"Criminal intelligence and intelligence fusion processes have evolved over the years but they haven't been modernized to take full advantage of today's advanced technology," said LVMPD Homeland Security Deputy Chief Greg McCurdy. "Together with AIC, we will document and improve our critical business processes and then automate them with the help of the Microsoft Fusion Core Solution. When this work is complete, the Department's detectives and analysts will be better prepared to fight crime and protect the Las Vegas community."
The Microsoft Fusion Core Solution is an easy-to-use, quick-to-configure solution that combines the robust capabilities of the ESRI ArcGIS Advanced Enterprise Server™ and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007™. The solution provides pre-loaded and configurable forms for collecting, assigning and satisfying many different types of criminal intelligence service requests. It provides out-of-the-box functionality that can be integrated with existing systems to enhance security and management reporting capabilities.
"AIC is a key Microsoft partner for justice, public safety and homeland security applications," said Joe Rozek, Executive Director of Homeland Security and Counterterrorism for Microsoft's U.S. Public Sector business. "Their years of experience in the justice and public safety space, combined with their deep technical expertise and ability to deploy the Microsoft Fusion Core Solution, is making a world of difference for our customers and is resulting in safer communities."
"The ISAT is a solid information sharing foundation thanks to the past work of AIC and Microsoft," said Phil Roland, LVMPD's Chief Information Officer. "Incorporating regional dispatch information into the ISAT will get us one step closer to our objective of providing timely access to comprehensive and accurate information, and ultimately to help support our officers' experience, intuition and knowledge."
