SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwire - October 28, 2009) - Cubic Defense Applications, Inc., the defense systems business unit of Cubic Corporation (NYSE: [ CUB ]) has received more than $25 million in combined contracts for ground combat training instrumentation and technical services.

Under a number of contracts from U.S. and international customers, Cubic will supply laser-based MILES tactical engagement simulation systems, exercise control and communications equipment for combat training centers, software upgrades, modifications, technical services, logistics support and operator training to U.S. military, civilian security customers, and foreign military sales contracts.

Cubic's equipment, software and services are destined for multiple locations, including U.S. Army installations at Fort Benning, Fort McCoy, U.S. Army Europe, and the Alaska Training Range. Other customers include the National Guard, U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force, and other Department of Defense and civilian nuclear security teams in the United States. Most of the deliveries are scheduled during FY10.
