Tekelec: Tekelec Named to Forbes' List of "America's 200 Best Small Companies" for Second Consecutive Year

MORRISVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - October 21, 2009) - [ Tekelec ] (NASDAQ: [ TKLC ]), the network signaling, mobile messaging and performance management company, has been named as one of "America's 200 Best Small Companies" by Forbes magazine. This is the second consecutive year that Tekelec has appeared on the list, moving up 16 spots to number 162.

Rankings are based on earnings growth, sales growth and return on equity in the past 12 months and over five years. To be considered for the Forbes list, a company must have annual revenue between $5 million and $750 million, be publicly traded for at least a year and have a minimum stock price of $5.
