Aruba Networks, Inc.: New AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6.3 Features Enhanced Graphical Configuration and Rogue Classificat

SUNNYVALE, CA--(Marketwire - June 4, 2009) - Aruba Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: [ ARUN ]), a global leader in wireless LANs and secure mobility solutions, today announced the release of AirWave Wireless Management Suite 6.3. The new management suite features full graphical configuration of Aruba Mobility Controllers, including master-local networks and networks of standalone controllers, as well as initial provisioning of Aruba access points. The suite also features rule-based rogue classification through which users can define the criteria under which the system differentiates between rogues and non-rogues. This new feature allows SSID, signal strength, manufacturer, IP address, LAN-side detection and other criteria to be considered as part of the classification decision.

AirWave Suite 6.3 includes key features that are essential for every wireless network, yet are generally lacking in proprietary management solutions:

 -- Network monitoring via iPhone, Windows Mobile, BlackBerry, or other Web-enabled mobile platforms to speed problem detection, diagnostics, and resolution; -- Real-time trending, traffic, usage, capacity, location, and status updates with just one or two mouse clicks, including the ability to rewind and replay data such as device location history; -- Support for multiple generations of technology, wireless standards, and vendors through a single console interface; -- Comprehensive reporting including assistance with PCI audits; and -- Extensive Help Desk features and interfaces to trouble ticket solutions such as BMC Remedy. 

AirWave Suite 6.3 is shipping now and is available at no charge to AirWave customers with a current support contract.
