McMurdo?s New FAST FIND" Model 200 Range Personal Locator Beacons Approved for Sale in the U.S.
SO. ST. PAUL., Minn.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Digital Angel (NASDAQ:DIGA), an advanced technology company in the field of animal identification and emergency identification solutions, announced today that McMurdo's new FAST FIND™ line of compact personal locator beacons (PLBs) has been approved for sale in the US. The approval has been given following a notification of the Grant of Authorization certification issued under the authority of the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) for the FAST FIND model 200 range of PLBs.
As previously announced, both the standard 200 model and the GPS-equipped 210 model FAST FIND were launched on February 12 at the Miami International Boat Show. The FAST FIND 210, including 50-channel integral GPS, retails at just $299 plus tax, and will be available in the US through Revere Supply Co., Inc. ([ www.reveresupply.com ]).
FAST FIND has also been approved for sale throughout the member states of the European Union, following an independent assessment by the British Approvals Board of Telecommunications, and now carries the CE mark to signify compliance with the EU Directive for radio and telecommunications equipment sold in Europe.
