A workshop on the integration of forensic science and technology in the newly enacted criminal laws was held in Goa, organized by the Bureau of Police Research and Development (BPR&D) in collaboration with the National Forensic Sciences University (NFSU). The event, which took place at the Goa Police Headquarters, aimed to enhance the capabilities of law enforcement agencies in implementing the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, and Bharatiya Sakshya Adhiniyam. Key discussions included the importance of forensic evidence in criminal investigations, the need for advanced technological tools, and the training of police personnel to effectively utilize these resources. The workshop also highlighted the role of NFSU in providing specialized education and research in forensic sciences to support the new legal framework.
