The programme offers an integrated BTech degree that equips students in both Economics and Computational Methods.
The Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Delhi has introduced a new undergraduate program titled B.Tech in Computer Science and Economics, starting from the academic year 2024-25. This interdisciplinary course aims to equip students with skills in both computer science and economics, preparing them for careers in technology-driven economic sectors. The curriculum will cover essential computer science topics like algorithms, data structures, and machine learning, alongside economic principles such as microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. This program is designed to foster an understanding of how technology influences economic systems and vice versa, offering students a unique blend of technical and analytical skills. The initiative reflects IIIT Delhi's commitment to adapting its educational offerings to meet the evolving demands of the industry and society.
