In New Congress Headquarters, Leaders Who Quit Party Also Find A Place

The newly inaugurated Indira Gandhi Bhawan in New Delhi, the headquarters of the Congress party, features a unique display of portraits that includes not only current leaders like Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra but also former leaders who have left the party. Among those depicted are Ghulam Nabi Azad, who resigned from the party in 2022, and others like Kapil Sibal, AK Antony, and Sushmita Dev, who have either joined other parties or retired from politics. This inclusion reflects a broad acknowledgment of the party's history and contributions from various leaders, regardless of their current political affiliations. The building, inaugurated by Mallikarjun Kharge, also showcases the party's commitment to its legacy and its leaders, past and present.
