He argued that moving the headquarters would enhance efficiency, reduce bureaucratic overhead, and better align NASA's administrative functions with its operational activities. DeSantis also mentioned that this move could potentially save costs and foster a more dynamic interaction between NASA's leadership and the space industry workforce. However, he acknowledged that such a move would require Congressional approval, as NASA's location is currently mandated by law to be in Washington, D.C.
