SandboxAQ, a startup focused on quantum technology and artificial intelligence, has successfully raised $300 million in a funding round led by investors including Breyer Capital, T. Rowe Price Associates, and Elad Gil. This significant investment aims to propel the company's efforts in developing quantum computing, AI, and simulation technologies. SandboxAQ, which spun out from Alphabet Inc.'s Google in 2022, is working on applications that could revolutionize fields like drug discovery, materials science, and cybersecurity by leveraging quantum computing's potential to solve complex problems beyond the reach of classical computers. The funding will also support the expansion of their team and the acceleration of their research and development initiatives.
