Museveni wants curriculum realigned to meet private sector demands

Speaking at the launch of the Presidential CEO Forum at State House Entebbe, Museveni highlighted the disconnect between the current educational outputs and the needs of industries, particularly in sectors like manufacturing, agriculture, and ICT. He stressed the importance of producing graduates who are not only employable but also capable of creating jobs, thereby reducing unemployment and fostering economic growth. Museveni's remarks underline a push towards vocational training and practical skills over traditional academic learning, aiming to make Uganda's workforce more competitive and responsive to market needs.
