The Indian Navy is set to commission INS Tushil, a Project 17A frigate, on July 15, 2024, at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai. This advanced warship, designed by the Indian Navy's Warship Design Bureau and constructed by Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Limited (MDL), represents the third ship of the Nilgiri-class frigates. INS Tushil is equipped with enhanced stealth features, advanced weapons, sensors, and platform management systems, making it a significant addition to India's naval fleet. The commissioning ceremony will be attended by high-ranking officials including Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, and other dignitaries. The event underscores India's commitment to bolstering its maritime security and promoting indigenous defense manufacturing.
