El-Khoury has run Cypressas automotive business since 2007, spearheading the companyas expansion into the Human-Machine Interface and Body Electronics segments of the automotive marketplace. The Programmable Systems Divisionas products include Cypressas flagship Programmable System-on-Chip (PSoC) products.

Dinesh Ramanathan, the Programmable Systems Divisionas current EVP, will leave Cypress this month to pursue an opportunity as the chief executive officer of a Silicon Valley startup.

El-Khoury holds a BSEE from Lawrence Technological University, Southfield, Mich. and an MS in Engineering Management from Oakland University, Rochester Hills, Mich. He started his career with automotive subsystem supplier Continental Automotive Systems in Auburn Hills, Mich. and served Continental in both Germany and Japan.
