Amkor Technology Announces Proposed Offering of Senior Notes and Refinancing of Existing Debt

CHANDLER, Ariz.--([ ])--Amkor Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:AMKR) today announced that it intends to offer, subject to market and other conditions, $300 million aggregate principal amount of senior notes (aNotesa). The Notes are expected to be due in 2022 and are to be offered in a private placement in the United States to qualified institutional buyers pursuant to Rule 144A under the Securities Act of 1933, as amended (the aSecurities Acta) and to non-U.S. persons outside the United States pursuant to Regulation S under the Securities Act.

The Notes will be unsecured and the offering price, interest rate and other terms will be determined by negotiations between the company and the initial purchasers.

We expect to use a portion of the net proceeds of the Notes offering to repay approximately $224.9 million of debt of certain of our subsidiaries. Any remaining net proceeds would be used for general corporate purposes.
