Cyclone Power Technologies Signs Teaming Agreement to Advance Development and Deployment of Methane-to-Power Systems

POMPANO BEACH, FL--(Marketwire - Sep 12, 2012) -  [ Cyclone Power Technologies ] (OTCQB: [ CYPW ]) developer of the all-fuel, clean-tech Cyclone Engine, announced today that it has signed a Teaming Agreement with B&W Constructors & Equipment, Inc., a Pennsylvania-based company that develops and builds livestock methane digesters for small farms. Under this agreement, the parties have joined forces to pursue commercial applications for distributed micro-scale methane-to-power systems that will utilize Cyclone's external combustion engine technology.

The working relationship formed by the Teaming Agreement is the culmination of a month of cooperation between B&W and Cyclone developing a prototype methane gas combustor / heat exchanger, and its integration with Cyclone's Waste Heat Engine (WHE-25). The compact system will generate up to 5kW of electrical output from the combustion of methane gas formed in pit manure storage facilities or landfills. The parties expect that a fully-functional demonstration unit will be available by the end of the year.

Lance Wright, Director of Renewable Energy Research at B&W, commented: "We work with small farm operations in the U.S. and the Caribbean and know that there is incredible demand for power systems that can make use of their abundant methane gas generation. This waste gas must be burned to avoid release into the atmosphere, which would be far more harmful than CO2. We are excited to be working with Cyclone because we believe they have the perfect technology for these applications."

Christopher Nelson, President of Cyclone, commented: "We're very pleased to partner with Lance and his team to advance the development and deployment of micro-scale methane-to-power systems utilizing Cyclone Engines. This alliance promotes another excellent use for our technology, and represents one more important step forward in the process of commercializing our engines for practical, in-demand applications."

About Cyclone Power Technologies
Cyclone Power Technologies is the developer of the award-winning [ Cyclone Engine ] -- an all-fuel, clean-tech engine with the power and versatility to run everything from waste energy electric generators and solar thermal systems to cars, trucks and locomotives. Invented by company founder and CEO Harry Schoell, the patented Cyclone Engine is an eco-friendly external combustion engine, ingeniously designed to achieve high thermal efficiencies through a compact heat-regenerative process, and to run on virtually any fuel -- including bio-diesels, syngas or solar -- while minimizing the release of greenhouse gases and irritating pollutants into the air. The Cyclone Engine was recognized by Popular Science Magazine as the Invention of the Year for 2008, and was presented with the Society of Automotive Engineers' AEI Tech Award in 2006 and 2008. Additionally, Cyclone was named Environmental Business of the Year by the Broward County Environmental Protection Department.
