Viasystems Strengthens Operational Excellence by Expanding Accreditations

ST. LOUIS--([ ])--Viasystems Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAS), a leading provider of complex multilayer printed circuit boards and electro-mechanical solutions today announced the achievement of AS9100C certification at its Denver, Colorado and North Jackson, Ohio facilities. AS9100C certification is an internationally recognized aerospace industry standard for the development and production of aviation, space and defense products. Viasystemsa facilities in Forest Grove, Oregon; Milpitas, California; Sterling, Virginia; and Toronto, Canada attained their re-certification to the AS9100C standards in 2011.

Viasystemsa Toronto, Canada facility recently attained Nadcap Accreditation for electronics from the Performance Review Institute (PRI) joining its other factories in Cleveland, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; Forest Grove, Oregon; North Jackson, Ohio; and Sterling, Virginia. Nadcap (National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program) is a worldwide cooperative program of aerospace industry prime contractors that govern and measure the competency, capability and consistency of suppliers within the aerospace industry.

Viasystemsa Anaheim, California; Cleveland, Ohio; Denver, Colorado; Forest Grove, Oregon; Milpitas, California; North Jackson, Ohio; San Jose, California; Sterling, Virginia; and Toronto, Canada facilities have attained the MIL-PRF-31032 / MIL-PRF-55110 Certifications. In an effort to support its customer base, Cleveland, Ohio and North Jackson, Ohio have also attained the MIL-P-50884 (Flex/Rigid Flex) Certification.

In support of the Medical market sector, Viasystemsa Toronto, Canada facility is certified to the medical standard ISO-13485.
