Quantum's DXi6700 Deduplication Family Named Network Computing Storage Product of the Year
Latest in Series of Awards Reinforces Breadth of Company's Data Protection Leadership

The DXi6701 and DXi6702 appliances combine best-in-class performance, price-performance and scalability in an easy-to-deploy backup and deduplication solution that frees customers from having to make the compromises required by competitive offerings.
The Network Computing award is the second "Product of the Year" honor for the DXi6700, which was similarly recognized last June at the 2011 [ Storage Awards ]: The Storries VIII. In addition, today's announcement follows a string of accolades Quantum's data protection solutions have received recently, including:
- Last month, the Quantum vmPRO 4000 won the "Backup Hardware Product of the Year" award in the [ Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com 2011 Products of the Year ] competition (the DXi6700 was a finalist in this category as well).
- In December, vmPRO 4000 was named "Storage Virtualisation Product of the Year" at the 2011 [ Storage, Virtualisation and Cloud Computing (SVC) Awards ].
- Also in December, Quantum captured the top spot overall and in all five rating categories of the [ Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com Quality Awards ] for both enterprise and midrange tape libraries.
