Cortex Business Solutions Inc. Announces the Addition of Bill Evelyn to the Advisory Committee
CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - April 2, 2012) - Cortex Business Solutions Inc. (TSX VENTURE:CBX) today announced that Mr. Bill Evelyn has been appointed to the company's Advisory Committee.
Bill Evelyn most recently held the position of Senior Director at Microsoft Canada, managing Microsoft's Western Canadian Operations for the last decade. Bill was responsible for the Enterprise and Partner Group and its teams, overseeing the company's enterprise customer business, the ecosystem of business partners and its industry strategy for the Resource Sector.
Starting at Microsoft in Calgary back in the early 90's, Bill grew Microsoft in Western Canada from half a dozen people to a team of almost 150 and almost $250M in revenue. Bill has been incredibly active in the development of technology companies in Western Canada including ISV's, SI's and Resellers. Prior to joining Microsoft, Bill worked at IBM and spent time in the Personal Systems division both in Calgary and in Florida at their labs. During his time at IBM, Bill was also with the National Technology Center and the Services business.
Bringing over 25 years of experience to his roles, Bill helps businesses, customers and partners get more value from their technology and business investments by aligning it with their goals. Bill is active on the boards of several technology and resource sector companies in Canada.
He is an electrical engineer, specializing in control and production systems and earned a BSc. in Engineering from the University of Calgary.
