IRVINE, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ Local Corporation ] (NASDAQ: LOCM), a leading online local media company, today announced that it has combined management of the companyas owned & operated (O&O) and network businesses under the newly created position of vice president, consumer properties, and appointed Peter Chang to that position.

As vice president of consumer properties, Chang will manage the companyas O&O and network businesses as well as focus on developing new consumer-facing products and services to drive increased user engagement. Chang will also focus on increasing monetization of the companyas existing search traffic by developing new revenue streams and enhancing existing partnerships.
The companyas consumer properties reach a million consumers a day searching for local products and services, and in December 2011 delivered more than a billion ad impressions on its growing local display network. The companyas proprietary technology platform delivers a variety of digital media solutions to advertisers, including daily deals, display, SEO and web hosting products across email, the Web, social media and mobile channels.

Chang was previously vice president of yield management with BUZZMEDIA, where he managed monetization efforts for ad units across its portfolio of entertainment websites. Previously, Chang served as the director of analytics and business operations for Freedom Interactive, where he was responsible for managing the advertising and local search operations for the companyas online properties. He also served as Director, Business Operations for IAC/InterActiveCorp, where he was responsible for leading media inventory management, pricing, and prioritization for Ticketmaster.com, Citysearch.com, Match.com, Expedia.com and other IAC sites.
Chang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in neuroscience from Cornell University, and will report to Sawtell.
