SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - April 11, 2011) - RAE Systems Inc., a manufacturer of toxic gas- and radiation-detection equipment, is interested in donating a limited number of gamma-ray radiation detectors to help protect journalists covering the aftermath of the earthquake and tsunami in Japan, as well as aid workers who are in the country to help with the recovery. News and aid organizations with people actively reporting or working in Japan should contact RAE Systems for donation consideration.

As part of this program, RAE Systems will provide its all-in-one GammaRAE II R personal radiation detector and dosimeter, which provides rapid-response detection and accurate dose measurements for tracking radiation exposures over time.
