Ron "Jaws" Jaworski Teams Up With RCN for First Youth Football Clinic to Benefit United Way of Greater Lehigh Valley

LEHIGH VALLEY, PA--(Marketwire - May 12, 2010) - [ RCN-Pa. ], a local provider of all-digital and high definition video, high-speed internet and premium voice services to residential and small-medium business customers in the Lehigh Valley area, announced today that it is partnering with Ron "Jaws" Jaworski to present a one-of-a-kind football clinic to benefit the [ United Way ] of the Greater Lehigh Valley and the [ Jaws Youth Fund ].

Led by ESPN football analyst and RCN's spokesperson in Pennsylvania Ron Jaworski, the clinic is open to boys and girls ages 7 to 14 and will teach participants the fundamentals of the game in a non-contact format. The clinic will take place on Saturday, June 12 at Frank Banko Field in Bethlehem, Pa. Registration will begin at 8am, and the clinic will run from 9am to noon.

"This is really going to be a fantastic event, and we're very excited to be part of it," said RCN-Pennsylvania's General Manager Randy Nungester. "The clinic is led by Jaws and powered by USA Football, the official Youth Football Development partner of the NFL. It will incorporate the NFL Play 60 concept and give the Lehigh Valley youth participants training in perseverance, discipline determination, and the skills necessary to achieve their maximum potential on and off the field."

"Spectators are invited to come out and watch all the action as well as visit the interactive sponsor village with hosts like Coca-Cola, Domino's Pizza, and many others," Nungester added. "We are really proud to team up with Jaws to bring this unique event here to the Lehigh Valley to support the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley and the Jaws Youth Fund."

All proceeds benefit the Jaws Youth Fund and the United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley. The United Way of the Greater Lehigh Valley funds 89 programs provided by 54 human service agencies throughout the Lehigh Valley, as well as four community building partnerships. In addition, the organization is pursuing a strategic direction that proactively addresses key community goals designed to improve the quality of life for those in the region.
