FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - December 9, 2009) - Network Equipment Technologies Inc. ("NET") (NASDAQ: [ NWK ]), a provider of network and voice-over-IP solutions, and Telchemy Incorporated, a provider of voice- and video-over-IP performance management technology, today announced a strategic alliance for enhanced product solutions.

NET's VX Series voice switches provide "any-to-any" voice integration and advanced capabilities for high-performance, secure voice communications. VX Series voice switches offer outstanding interoperability for enterprise unified communications and enterprise voice systems.

Telchemy's VQmon IP performance management technology adds real-time monitoring of quality of experience (QoE) to NET's voice switches. The performance management technology exposes problems related to echo, network congestion, and endpoint configuration, as well as other system problems, making diagnosis faster and easier. This helps IT organizations manage overall network health and gives more insight into the effects of transient IP network problems.

"We are pleased that NET selected Telchemy's VQmon technology to provide VoIP QoE monitoring as a key part of their unified communications implementation for the VX Series voice switches," said Dr. Alan Clark, CEO and President of Telchemy.

"This partnership provides another valuable tool to corporate enterprises to manage their networks, diagnose problems, and ultimately deliver a better user experience for unified communications and enterprise voice systems," said Kevin Isacks, Director of Product Marketing, NET.
