OptiCon (OPCN) & PowerCon Joint Venture to Create American Made Power Corporation

ST. PETERSBURG, FL--(Marketwire - December 8, 2009) - OptiCon Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: [ OPCN ]), a global provider of OSS (Operational Support System) software applications for the Telecommunications and Energy industry, announced today that together with PowerCon Systems, has incorporated a joint venture company to manufacture intelligent electronic devices, sensors and security related components for the Energy and the utility sector. The new company, American Made Power Corporation (AMPCO), will manufacture secure smart grid and utility related hardware in the United States, beginning in 2010.
