TORONTO, Nov. 18 /CNW/ - Star Navigation Systems Group Ltd. (TSX-V: SNA) ("Star" or the "Company"), is pleased to announce that it will be opening an office in Atlanta, Georgia in the New Year.

The new office will be the centre of Star's U.S.A., Central American and South American operations, initially targeting the U.S commercial aviation and defense markets.

Governor Sonny Perdue of Georgia welcomed the Star initiative at a reception at the Dubai Airshow. The announcement followed a meeting between Mr. Kapadia and the Governor, who is leading the Georgia delegation to the show. The Dubai Airshow is the largest aviation event in the world's fastest-growing region.

Star's CEO, Viraf S. Kapadia said, "Georgia is ideally situated to help us market STAR-ISMS(TM) to our U.S., Central and South American markets, which are easily accessible through Hartsfield Atlanta Airport. We look forward to building on the great relationships we've established with both the State of Georgia and the Georgia business community as our company builds its presence there." (The complete Georgia announcement will available on Star's website, [ www.star-navigation.com ] on November 19).

Concerning the Airshow, Mr. Kapadia also said "This is Star's fourth attendance at the Dubai Airshow, which is held every two years. As attendance is limited to the aviation trade, the level of professional interest shown in our STAR-ISMS(TM) is most gratifying. By the mid point of the Show, we had already received more serious requests for follow-up presentations than we received during the entire previous Show. I also had the honour of meeting H.H. Sheik Ahmed Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of the Dubai Civil Aviation Authority, Chairman of Dubai Airports and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group. It is this level of access to decision makers that makes the Dubai Airshow so important."
