  • NASA and SpaceX on Monday will launch of its SPHEREx and PUNCH spacecraft's in order to seek a better understanding of the known universe.

NASA is preparing to launch two significant missions, SPHEREx and PUNCH, aboard a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California. The SPHEREx (Spectro-Photometer for the History of the Universe, Epoch of Reionization and Ices Explorer) mission aims to explore the origins of the universe by mapping the distribution of water and ice in our galaxy, studying the cosmic history of galaxy formation, and understanding the physics of cosmic inflation. Meanwhile, the PUNCH (Polarimeter to Unify the Corona and Heliosphere) mission will focus on studying the Sun's corona and the heliosphere, providing insights into solar wind and space weather. These missions will enhance our understanding of both the vast expanse of the cosmos and the dynamic environment of our own solar system.
